    Ironing seams.

Which way should the seams be ironed? Thinking ahead when when houses will be joined, seems that ironing the seams open will make for a less bulking seam.

    Jtailwhit,

I usually press the seams open when I join sections together. It’s especially helpful when you have a lot of intersections converging in the same place on the seam, like the center of the compass and you want to reduce the bulk. I don’t think it really matters a lot on the houses, because the seams on the outside of each template don’t have to be aligned when you have short houses next to tall houses. So, because it’s my habit, I’m pressing those seams open.
