    Houses - Thoughts/suggestions welcome!

Waiting on my freezer paper sheets to arrive from Amazon, so I cut my pieces last night, and made my first house the "old fashioned way" - sewing on paper.

I'm using all Tula Pink solids, and thought different lighter colors for the windows would be good (like white/yellow). Now I find myself staring at my house on the design wall thinking "Yer white windows need help".

Should I re-make the house w/different colored windows - OR - maybe SITD around the window using a 28wt black thread to give the windows a bit of definition? Thoughts/suggestions welcome!

(need to clean my design wall - there's thread/fabric shnibbles all over it! and looks like I splattered coffee on my phone lens. <sigh> )

Ninabeheim, you can do some interesting quilting in the white windows, with different colored threads. There is enough contrast between the windows and the house.

          Nina,
You might want to look at Wendy Williams' quilt, "Round the Garden" in the January 3 newsletter. The closeups show a nice variety of window treatments you might like.
I hope I do this link right. I am technically-challenged. I don't see the newsletter listed in the menus at to top.
