Printing with Laser Printer on Freezer Paper Sheet

Barbara mentioned on the live Jan 8th, if have a laser printer (which I do), that you can't just feed Freezer Paper sheets thru because the wax could get on roller. We need to iron regular copy paper on the back of shiny side b4 you run it thru printer, then peel copy paper off. Be sure to figure out which side the "fabric" side needs to be oriented so the printing comes out on that side. Iron on a cooler setting, like a 3, then peel copy paper off right away after printed so it won't stick. I ironed some on setting 6 - cotton, and waited little bit, and the copy paper stuck in sections due to the heat.

I'm trying to print on Laser as well.... my inkjet is out on loan !!! - I reviewed a youtube - but it's very basic (no iron setting).... I tried it on cotton setting - and the copy paper gets totally stuck to freezer paper. I lowered it to the lowest setting, and it does finally come off - but during the printing process - the - drum roll - creases the freezer paper because I didn't iron it as much..... ughhhhh I really want to use the laser - I hate to have to have 2 printers..... Yippee !! I think I have found the solution - Lowest heat setting AND not using my felted wool mat to iron (duhhhh!!). Also Feed the paper through the MANUAL feed tray of the Laser printer- paper came off easily and no creasing from the laser rollers. Happy dance....

Thank you so much for this info! All I have is a laser and Staples won’t copy it for me.

Since I have a laser printer , I'm using traditional foundation paper and putting a tiny dab of glue to hold the first piece on. This lets me still use the folded paper technique, but allows me to work with what I have available. I put an additional tad of glue on large pieces like the roof and background. The only time I sewed through the paper was to connect the bottom and top of small house #1, but I'll probably remove the paper before sewing those together on my next house.

I put two sheets of freezer paper shiny side to shiny side, didn’t pre press it. Put it in the manual feed tray. Printed one side and flipped it over and did the second side. The sheets easily separated and I had both patters. Need to be careful when using, there can be a little toner transfer to iron.
