    Cutting Fabric

Just received my fabric, yea. I remember on one of your videos you suggested cutting strips of fabrics. Can’t remember how wide and which fabrics.

Read the blog for Month 1:

Cut strips 3.5 from all except the black, white, and background.

Just to clarify one more time. Cut 3.5" strips, salvage to salvage, for all fabrics except the black (charcoal) used for the road, white (road stripes), and background. Does the 3..5 Strip also include the fabric to be used for the compass?

I would only cut one strip from each of your “house” fabrics. We don’t know what sizes the buildings and other objects will be. One strip from each is more than enough for month 1 houses.

Libbi, only cut ONE strip of the building fabrics only, 3.5” wide. Use for the buildings. When you use up one entire strip, say of purple, cut another one. I am sure no one will use up any strips with these first 16 houses.

This is covered on my Month 1 blog. I highly recommend everyone read that Blog post for each month BEFORE cutting or starting any month’s work. It is the PRIMARY place I give all the most important things to know:
