Cutting strips for house blocks

Hello, I am getting ready to cut my strips for house 1 and house 2 blocks. I have purchased a kit and thought I would be brave by cutting a strip of each required size from all of the twenty colors provided for the houses i.e one strip 1 1/4" from each color, 1 strip 1 1/2" from each color etc. Is this the best use of my fabric or will I be wasting too much?

Read my blog just posted today--do not cut all those small strips. Cut one strip of most fabrics 3.5".

In your Blog, you said to cut 3 1/5" strips of all fabrics except Black and White. The fabric requirements don't list a black or white. There is a charcoal and cream. Are those the fabrics which will be used for the roads? Thanks

Yes, the Charcoal and Cream are for the Roads. Do not use in the Small Houses.

Which greens from the kit are for the trees? I see three greens - so the two darker?

The two greens that are half yards are intended for the Trees. Not the olive--it is a 1/3 yard.
