The Skyscrapers are made in months 11 and 12. I will discuss designing your own in month 9.

At what point during the months will you discuss designing our own buildings? (I think you mentioned in the video)

Is the order of the buildings around the circle interchangeable or does the pattern follow a certain order that must be maintained because of sizing? I hope this question makes sense.

The 32 Small Houses will be joined in pairs then into a complete circle and they are all the same size so order isn't that important--your colors will determine which Small Houses you place side by side.

During Months 6-9 the Tall Buildings are made and they must be placed in specific locations, as they are made in ascending and descending sizes around the outer circle.

Hope that answers your question, Roxanne.

I’m planning to personalise my quilt by choosing significant towers to represent family locations around the world. In addition to Big Ben, London, I’d like to include the Burj Khalifa, Dubai; the Liver Building, Liverpool and Lord Hill’s Column, Shrewsbury. I’m hoping this will be feasible. I’ve started to do my designs but a template of the segment size would be very helpful at this point.

I was thinking since we live outside of Washington, DC, I will put the Capitol dome and the Washington Monument in two of the corners. The other two corners I am thinking of lighthouses of our favorite beach spots. My husband is from Montana near Glacier Park and we were wondering if some of the buildings on the outside ring could be replaced with the mountains of Montana. Any thoughts if this would look too crazy with mountains on the top of the quilt instead of a couple of buildings.

Personalizing your quilt to represent your world is a great idea.

The dimensions for the skyscrapers will be discussed later this summer, probably August. The skyscrapers are not made until Months 11 and 12--we have plenty to do before that.
