Finished! I so enjoyed making this! My daughter in love requested a queen bedspread size quilt, so I added an appliqued border from Edyta Sitar's Spool Quilt featured in her book Friendship Strips and Scraps. The look on their faces when I gifted it to them made every little stich very worthwhile.

Wow! I love it. Great job. Your color choices and the applique border really work together.

I finally finished my Afternoon Delight. And I'm delighted with it. I used a quilt as you go method, dividing up the blocks by diagonal rows, and then quilting each of those rows and adding them together. I didn't put the outer borders on it, but I am very pleased with the way it works.

Finally finished!! Got held up by a tree taking out two rooms then moving, and topped off with being in lock down. The small nine patches are hand done from 1.25 inch scrap squares, the background is from fat quarters but with different patterns, the fabrics were a bundle I won then I added from my stash to go with them. The border is the colour I was told the recipient would like. The backing ended up pieced (from front left overs) as I had to get the border and back main piece on line while in lock down. This is not a quilt I will forget in a hurry.

I have made some rearrangement to my blocks, the top ended up 88*88 inches.
