I'm from Western Iowa about 30 miles north of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. I hope to use my stash for this quilt but I have bought a few pieces of the same fabric that Barbara Black used. I am anxious to get started and I know I will enjoy this forum, thanks...http://stitchesscrapsandtidbits.blogspot.com

I am from Alberta Canada. This is the first time I have done a BOM with TQS even though I have been a member almost from the beginning. Most of my fabrics will come from my stash although I did have to buy a bit of fabric to round out the selection. I am trying to decide if I should do raw edge applique (which I am comfortable with) or try to do turned edge machine applique.Deborah W

Hello, my name is Ginny and I'm in Ukiah, California. A town North of San Francisco.
I've been a member of TQS off and on for some years. I made Blooms for Julie and love it. I love to appliqué and the two little shoo fly blocks I made yesterday look like jewels to me. So sweet. This will be such fun. Raiding my stash for it.

My name is Paula and I’m from New Zealand. When I saw this BOM, I knew it was the perfect project to do as a scrap quilt. Yet it seemed a little familiar. . . . . I had loved the look of a customers quilt, recently brought to me for quilting. Turns out they are the same design! And I’m really looking forward to creating my own.
I enjoy Barbra Blacks instructions, she’s a thinker, and after watching TQS’s first show of the year I can see, she has already worked out the most efficient way to create these blocks. Roll on 2020 and an exciting year ahead with The Quilt Show, Ricky, Alex and Barbra. Whoohoo!

Elian, Welcome to the wonderful world of quilting. You instantly have a common interest with people from all over the world. I am from Harrison, Idaho in the USA.
You are very lucky to be a subscriber to this website. More information about quilting than you can possibly imagine. There are a dozen years of shows for you
to watch. Being new to quilting, a couple that might help you are 1602 Sally Collins Secrets for Precision Piecing; 1912 Rosa Rojas for Applique; 1308 Carly Bryer Fallert Gentry
Tips and Techniques; 608 Pat Holly Mastering Machine Applique, and 611 Becky Goldsmith Applique the Piece of Cake Way. When you have time to explore, try going to
the Show List and just watch each of the trailers ( a couple minutes of video on what the show is about). Note the ones that really interest you so you can go back and watch
them. As you run into problems with a technique etc. Just google the problem and put you tube after it and you will be amazed how many ideas and tips come up. Or just write it here in the forum to get some to give you some ideas. Good luck and Have Fun!! HelenWHelenW

I am from Tavistock, Ontario, Canada. I just decided to make a go of this years BOM.
This is the first time I've even started a TQS BOM. I love the look of this one. Mine will be scrappy as I will be using my stash, well, except for a few yards of background fabric that I had to buy, as my stash is sorely lacking in neutrals.
I've been a member here for quite some time but have not made any friends here, so happy to meet you all!

Linda, So glad you are jumping into all the fun. We love seeing pictures and helping each other find new ways to do things.
Like you I too am lacking neutrals in my stash. So I just bought the 8 yards needed when Bluprint had a clearance on their
batiks end of Dec. What technique do you use for applique? HelenWHelenW
