Am I crazy to take this on?

I am just getting started. Yes, that is what I said. I am cutting our and sewing block by block both the regular cotton and the batik.
But I only get to work on it a couple of hours a week. Am I crazy to take this on or should I just stash all that beautiful fabric? I am hoping it will only take me a full year to do both.

You are NOT crazy to take this quilt on. One step at a time, one piece, one block, one day at a time. Sue Garman was the most courageous, inspirational and encouraging teacher I ever had the pleasure and great fortune to know. Her designs are not made in a week-end. Isn't the complexity what drew you to it?
Sue made many quilts while she worked at NASA, raised her family, and designed patterns and fully participated in guilds. I have a chart somewhere, that Sue wrote which explained how to delegate and prioritize tasks in our day. I am inspired by her example. And I hope you work on your quilt with joy at your own space and time, however long it takes. In the end your quilt will be beautiful. shoeboxquilts living on the edge of the wild horse desert

Not at all, Diane. Work on your quilts as you can. Progress is made with each step.
