Thank you for your quick response. One of the reasons I prewash is to shrink the fabric.

TEMPLATES CUT OFF
I've been gathering the BOM segments and am just getting started on putting it together and I'm noticing that several units in the templates are cut off on the directions and when printed out. I've only checked month 1 so far, but I suspect this may be an issue throughout the pattern. Some are easy to extend, but, for example, unit 8 of the Halo Star block in month 1 is cut off both in the PDF and when printed. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what did you do to fix these sections?Tags: None

Julie, I just checked the PDF patterns and printed the page that has unit 8 and nothing is cut off, all the patterns are the correct size. Be sure you have the print settings for "Actual Size" or "100%". On the Paper Piecing Guide, page 23, there is a 1" test square--be sure yours printed out exactly 1". The feathers in this Feathered Star are NOT 1", they are slightly smaller than that so your patterns must be printed out the correct size for this to all fit together perfectly.
Another thought--in the beginning some people who had printing problems solved them by using a different browser, Google Chrome seemed to work well for those who had trouble with Edge or Firefox. Just another possibility for you to try.
I hope this helps.

Barbara,
Thanks so much but I'm looking at the files in Adobe, not on a browser. They were downloaded directly from the website... If you have any ideas that would be great. I may try re-downloading the file to see if that helps or perhaps use a different .pdf viewer...
A .jpg of what I'm seeing is attached.

Ok, I've done a bit of investigation and here's what I found:
1. I re-downloaded the .pdf and the file looked fine without any templates cut off.
2. I re-printed the templates the "to fit" option and they printed fine
3. Just to be sure, I re-printed the templates with "actual size" and they printed fine.
Now the stickler - the templates printed "actual size" are slightly larger than to "to fit" templates. I'm assuming the actual size templates are the ones to go with so I'll print the entire pattern set of templates that way.
If anyone knows that I should do it differently, please let me know!

Yes, you definitely want "actual size".
Maybe this will help you be sure yours are the right size: Unit 16, the center square is 5" unfinished, 4.5" finished. Check that printed unit to be sure that's what size yours is and then you'll be good to go.
