    GATE BLOCK

Finally, I could work on this. I had to draw in EQ7 full size to figure it out. It seems that the cutting instructions are not accurate for 2 of the TAUPE strips (3-1/2 X 12-1/2 should be 3 x 12-1/2; 1-1/2 x 10 should be 1-1/2 x 10-1/2), but the measurements for full size on the DRAWING on page 4 are correct.

I did not sew mine yet, as I will probably paper-piece it. But these are the measurements that EQ7 provides for half-size:

Height X Width as seen on the block.
    IVORY:
    3 strips 3/4" x 4-1/2" (middle of the gate)
2 strips 2-1/2" x 3/4" (left and right side of the gate)
2 strips 3/4" x 5" (top and bottom of gate)
    2 strips 3-3/4" x 1" (posts)

    TAUPE
    1 strip 1-3/4" x 6-1/2" (top of the block)
1 strip 1" x 5-1/2" (top of the gate, between the post)
2 strips 3-1/4" x 3/4" (between the post and the gate)
    1 strip 3/4" x 5" (below the gate)
2 strips 7/8" x 4-1/2 (gate "background" top and bottom)
    2 strips 3/4" x 4-1/2 " (gate background in the middle)

I have the EQ7 drawing for paper-piecing half-size, if anyone is interested, just email me.

Why do you go smacking walls, Wendy? You KNOW they're going to smack you back! I hope you recover quickly so you can keep moving on with the hexies. Your marigolds are so pretty!
