O block - enough for 2 Ohio stars
I just finished the O block and there were enough triangle squares for 2 blocks. The P block was missing cutting instructions for two of the squares for half square triangles. I assumed that someone used these instructions to make the block before posting - you would find these errors ahead of time if you did.Tags: None

Well I guess for the remaining months I will wait until 2 weeks after new instructions are posted. Then after the first members try to make their blocks and post comments about corrections needed, I will then print out my instructions. Having extra pieces leftover and puzzling as to where they might go or discovering there are pieces missing (as I had printed my instructions early in the month) is not my idea of a Sunday afternoon in my sewing room. I hope that for the remaining months, someone from TQS, or Janet herself, will carefully go over the instructions to avoid so many mistakes. This pattern is certainly not free; I had expected better!Back to Quilting!

I think it would be really helpful if someone from the show would post all the corrections for the June blocks in one place. I'm having trouble going back and forth between each mistake and my downloaded pattern to check each detail. For example I printed my lesson on June 2 but am being told on June 5th or 6th that corrections have been made to the pattern for the O & P blocks. I just looked at my pattern and don't see any changes. When were they actually made? I hate to cut my fabric before I figure out what was changed from what to what. Maybe an errata page? Thanks for considering this idea.

Although I was a bit upset when I wrote the earlier post about mistakes in the instructions, I have since cooled off. Actually now I'm grateful that I had those extra half square triangles for the "O" block. When I squared up 2 of the blocks, I made a mistake --so I had the extra HSTs to use!
I do agree with the previous poster's suggestion to have an errata page.

Hi Kitty,
I believe we have been in many online classes over the years, including some on Quilt University with Joann Winn???
Your frustration came through loud and clear, but trust this old Lounge Lizard when I say, one has but to say something doesn't appear right on TQS and someone else with either tell us how to fix it, or do their best to help us figure out if it was our personal screw-up. While I've seen one or a half a discussion get a bit testy on TQS Forum, generally it isn't needed here.
I, too, would like an errata page, but sometimes, as we recall from Joann Winn's classes, that's tough to do because everyone reads online pages differently (I think). That's why Joann labelled her class notes by sections and paragraphs. Possibly this could be incorporated in future BOM instructions, but I doubt it would be feasible for this one...it's already done.
I think I'm just going to re-print in black and white. Generally, I've found this BOM to be very readable and do-able and just plan FUN!
