Hi Lynn, I really, really enjoyed watching the BOM show this morning. I am so excited to do your pattern.
You mentioned you did not like the look of raw edge appliqué on the edge. I agree and started doing raw edge flannel
applique and love using The Twisted Chain stitch by Machine. Ricky Tims did a segment on it a number
of years back and I use it all the time. For the life of me, using the search and looking for an hour I could
not find the show. But I did find a short Bernina you tube on it. I took a screen shot of what to type in
if you are interested. I love the way it covers the edge. And because it is a couching technique you can
use all the decorative threads that are too thick or fancy to use in the needle. Also, I use this snag needle to
pull the threads to the back to knot. I just put all 6 strands in the loop, and poke it thru to the back. So easy.
