I just finished reading BIRDS IN THE AIR by Frances Dowell. I really enjoyed it and since many of you like quilt related books I thought I would bring the book to your attention... FRANCES is a noted children's book author and has won many awards. She started quilting back around 2008- 2010 ( not sure of the exact time) and also started a podcast chronicling her quilting journey. This book reflects Frances' journey. I loved most the the characters in the book as I have met similar quilters along my own journey into quilters..... I will admit I wanted to stick a dirty sock in the mouth of the QUILT POLICE character, but Frances was much nicer and gave her a backstory that made her more understandable. Not going to tell you about the story/ plot because the description book and reviews are posted on Amazon.
BTW Frances is a TQS member ... she does not comment as often as she use to because she is so busy writing her books and quilting. ... not to forget she has two growing boys that keep her busy.
THIS book is a great read after a day of quilting ...
