Thank you, all, for your kind words about my quilt. How could I go wrong with Caryl's own hand dyed fabrics? She did all of the color gradations for me; all I had to do was sew them all together. But, I have to say, once I got my graduated strips all cut and laid out in the converging design, I realized every horizontal seam I needed to sew was on the bias! Not fun.

BTW, I got onto my BIG computer and found my profile photo was sideways. Sorry about that! I took a selfie on my phone, sent it to my IPad, and posted it there. On am right-side-up on my IPad, but had no idea I had fallen over sideways on a laptop. ops: My big computer has lost it's ability to download photos from my camera, or attach them to emails, etc. and DH has been so involved with work, that I hated to bother him with it. When he comes home this week, maybe I can get him to work on that for me. Then I won't look like I've had one too many!

Hey everyone. Haven't posted in a while too. Kinda weird. Check all the time. Gotta due something about that.

Been busy working on a lot of quilts for family. Working on much needed renovations on our house. Our old wooden siding was bowed so bad the boards were popping off. Raccoons had easy access to our attic and used it. I've caught 10 to date. Replacing that with Hardie boards, massive insulation and replacing a ton of rotten wood, then paint and new roof. We are so excited. It feels like we are healing our house and it's a huge positive move for our family.

I've also been working on a special project. It's a fund raiser for Libby Lehman and her family. You may have seen some videos of some quilts that other artists are doing. Well it's going to be an exhibit of 30 artists all doing quilts that are 30x30 that will be on display in Houston and in Paducah. They will go up for auction (online) while the Houston show is happening. More to be announced on that on TQS of course. The quilts are done by award winning artists and teachers. The collection is breathtaking. Haven't received all of them yet, but most have arrived. Wish me luck with this project.

Clara, Good news about your renovations. I was just talking to my brother tonight about what difficult animals raccoons are to deal with. He has to lock his doors at night to keep them from opening the doors to come in! I can hardly wait to see all the quilts for the Libby Lehman project. I have been fascinated to see the videos showing some of them. Clearly they are magnificent. Good wishes for the project!

Good to hear from you, Clara, Congratulations on a wonderfully awesome project. I use awesome in the true sense of the word. I am sure that project is a lot of work but the side benefit is that you can touch and feel all those wonderful quilts. I loved hearing that you are in the process of healing your home. Blessings on you and your family.

Interesting that the raccoons are so destructive. We just had to clear some out of my mom's attic space. A female climbed a tree to get on the roof and then ripped up the vent cover to get in. What a mess and a lot of damage.

Congrats on the Libby projects--the quilts are wonderful.

                                Hey everybody!

Look what my husband and I have been doing!

It's my design wall. It's 8' x 8', covered with felt. Those are the square within a square or economy blocks I've been working on. (About a third of the way done.)

I'm so happy! We also made Sharon Schamber's pressing surface. It's 28" square.
