    New Margo Video

In case you haven't seen the TQS newsletter, Magro has a fantastic new video on faux piped binding in her regular (not the 2013 BOM) classroom. Like all of Margo's videos, it is chock full of great information! Thank you Margo!!! :!:

I did one of these bindings a few months ago to try it out on a AAQI-sized quilt and it worked out well but I wish I had had your video when I set out to do it, Margo! Very nicely done!

Awesome video, Margo! You're a natural born teacher I think this guarantees that I'll be a TQS member forever, because I'll keep going back to this.

By the way, how do we get those little numbers next to our names when we respond in certain places on TQS, like wishing Ricky Happy BD?

Thanks for the kudos ladies! Just remember that matching your bobbin thread to the backing fabric looks lots better than one that contrasts!!

And...if you don't want any stitches on the back, you can always do the final stitching by hand! A ladder stitch or a small whip stitch will work just great, and then the flange will not be dimensional.

But...I love this for any quilt that will get a lot of use because it is very secure, and can be done fairly quickly.

              Have fun with it!

Loved the video Margo. I will be trying it out very soon. But what was that funny word you used, I didn't recognize it? Referring to something being a little bit fiddly?

I was pretty sure that it was uttered when I saw the first "take" of the back of the quilt and realized that it REALLY had to be re-done! ops: ops: ops:

It's around 25.36mins where you are doing the corner of the faux binding. It's not a naughty word - just one I have not heard before. It sounds lie 'finaigling'
