    David Taylor --- Show 410---

I watched the DAVID TAYLOR show this am ...HAD TO GET UP AT 5:45 AM to watch it.... Anyways my question is what type of backing did he use to place is applique on? It looked like muslin or some type of utility cloth, but I missed what was said when they were discussing it.

Thank you... I can not go back to watching the show because HUGHES NET has fair useage in the day time so I have to get up at 5 or 6 am tomorrow to see it.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

BTW..... THANK YOU TQS for the free shows....

As far as I know, he uses muslin for his foundation.

        Lady Rags,

David likes to use washed muslin as a base for most of his quilt pieces. But sometimes he creates without the base.

The quilts in the exhibition span his work over the last ten years. Stay tuned for an up close visit to the show!

          Lilo,
Thanks for the heads up! I love, love David's work. I'm hoping to take a workshop with him someday.

Eileen -- The Rocky Mtn. Quilt Festival in August is having David Taylor for two days. One for applique and one for free motion quilting. I signed up for the applique class on August 23rd. Why not make your plane reservation and go with me. Come on. We will have FUN.

I will be attending the David Taylor workshop (actually both of them) in August too! Perhaps we should wear TQS tags?

That will be great. You may have to remind me to make mine and then wear it. LOL I am lucky to remember the day let alone 3 months from now, but I am really looking forward to it.
