    Market in Minneapolis

Alex & I are walking out the door to Minneapolis Market. Is there something there we shouldn't be missing?

I have never been to a Market, but my guess is your bound to miss something. Good idea to ask. If I was there I'd want you to see me!

Welcome to my part of the world! You lucked out as our weather is unusually beautiful this Spring, April was gorgeous and May is now much warmer too. Downtown Minneapolis has a lot to see, great restaurants too. We love our lakes too, there are many in the Twin City metro area. I live in Woodbury a suburb east of St Paul, not far from the St Croix River, a very scenic area. Enjoy your time in our fair cities. I hope to meet you and Alex tomorrow as I will be at market. Will you be at one of the vendor booths, AccuQuilt maybe?

John, if you and Alex do meet Mary Rossi, please give her a big hug from me!! She did the quilting on the quilt for Sue Garman, and it was truly wonderful! In the process, she and I had some great conversations, so I really feel she's become a friend. Have fun! Robin

Had a great day at Market and was especially pleased to meet Alex and yes Robin she gave me a big hug! She was at the AQS booth with the new Quilt Life magazine. The Market is huge with hundreds of vendors and such an amazing variety of fabrics, fabric designs, patterns, etc, etc. I felt a bit overwhelmed at times, kinda like a kid in a candy store. How can one not be happy surrounded by such beautiful fabric,

Eileen, I didn't really see anything new for longarmers. The show is really geared toward quilt shop owners. I did find a cool ruler set for trimming half square and quarter square triangles-saw it demo'd at a shop in the Kansas City area when we did some shop hopping during the MQS show. Market was a great place to find new patterns, fabrics, etc. There were minimum buy amounts on quite a few items, but we seemed to find enough things to buy to make a trip to the car half way through the day to unload our purchases so we could buy more!
