On the subject of Row Robins my group Worksworth quilters at last completed the rows and we had our bags of fabric and quilt tops back this week. What do you reckon? Some of the bags I received were like quite a challenge with the colour choices but I think in the end they all turned out great and everyone seemed pleased. I loved mine I put in a layer cake of Kaffe Fassett fabrics and a length of black. Now how the heck do I quilt black fabric

Your cousin's quilt is amazing, Lotti! What an artist!
Love your row quilt, Wendy! The black should be wonderful to quilt on. It generally shows the quilting whether you use matching or contrasting thread. If you use matching thread, you might want to use a slightly different color like a dark purple so you don't go blind while quilting. Dark purple is much easier to see, but looks black when you're done.

Limbania, what a very clever row you made for Luann! Love it!
Lotti, enjoy your rainy weekend! Your cousin's quilt is wonderful. Looks like she is quite an artist.
Wendy, you'r row quilt colors are great. Now I know I can be colorful with your row, and you will like it! AND, I will enjoy working on it!
Nancy, thanks for the tip on quilting on black! I did quilt with black thread on a black quilt, and it was ridiculous! Wished I'd know the dark purple trick back then!
Have a great 4th of July weekend, all of you here in the USA. I guess in a way we celebrate our own Brexit!

Lotti your cousin's quilt is amazing! I'd love to see her second quilt!
The rows are so much fun to see.
Wendy your row quilt is quite nice. I think variegated and dark purple is a good idea. Thanks Nancy for your insight..... insight, get it? haha
Maybe I should ask this on the retreat blog, but does anyone have a half a yard of Mah-Jong fabric? I've been looking online and can only find a 6 yard piece. I am happy to pay for it and shipping or trade other goods if preferred. Thanks!

Can't remember when I last posted anything. I also have been lurking. I have enjoyed the fabric/rows that I've received, and the ones I've seen on here. hanks very much y'all! I think I owe some photos to this thread, but forget whose.
Actually have finished a few quilts, but they go out the door as soon as I've finished. If I can get motivated enough, I'll try to upload the pics. But maybe over at the retreat thread.
Hugs to you all. I love my new machine (Janome)Geneva

Lotti - Your cousin's quilt is gorgeous. She's very talented. Thanks for sharing.
Wendy - I love your row quilt. Gorgeous colors.
Nancy - Thanks for the tip about using purple thread to quilt on black.
Very nice rows, ladies. Great eye candy. Hope everybody is having a good summer. Got hotter earlier than usual in Arizona. Keeping a couple of kids entertained indoors is tiring and time consuming. There's just so much time you can be in a pool.
Have a safe and happy Independece Day US ladies!

Love seeing all of these! Lottie, as I'm still working on June (where did the month go??) as well, absolutely no worries. I've said before, but it bears repeating -- I'm only following the calender of who I am to make for next, and trying to get near the correct month (though not so great at doing so). I'm not at all even looking at who is to be sending to me, and so am simply delighted any time I get a surprise in the mail. So -- no worries! And your cousin's quilt is amazing!!
Love all the photos posted, and hope everyone has a happy and safe weekend.
