Love that ABC quilt, and congrats on your mini getting to go to Houston, Annis! I'll keep an eye out for it!

I've been busy and not on the computer much -- will come with some updates this week sometime. I've once again gotten behind on my rows, have detoured and done a Summer Medallion Mystery project run on FB by Gyleen Fitzgerald, and am almost done quilting my son's graduation quilt. I plan to finish that up this week, then back to June/July rows, then a bday project for a friend (from June...), and then finish adding my one more border (beyond the mystery clues) to my Summer Mystery.

But in between times, I registered my son for university, had several appointments for my youngest son (developmental/educational testing; we get results Tuesday), a week helping our church with VBS, helped a family member declutter her house before a pending move, and totally cleaned out the pantry and the garage (to the point of take everything out, clean, put everything back in, more organized this time...).

So....I'll finish the graduation quilt and then come with photos to share

Heather - Sounds like you've been a busy gal lately. Love to see your quilting pictures when you find time to post!

Annis, congratulations! I won't be going to Houston this year, so will miss seeing it there! Fortunately I was able to follow your whole journey, in the making of it! Be sure to post a picture of you with it there! Your alphabet quilt is wonderful. Very precise.

Heather, busy as ever, I see! Keep us updated, and don't forget pictures.

I've been busy finishing off my confetti quilt which uses Noriko Endo's technique. I basically started over. Did not like the large meandering quilting, using the black MonoPoly. So, I did my own thing, got more precise/detailed, put my own stamp on it, and will post a picture once finished. While finishing it up, and finishing up my Hoffman Challenge (got notified yesterday that it was accepted) I thought through the next 3 or 4 rows that I need to catch up on. I know exactly what I will be doing for Rosemary, Lotti, and Geneva. Now, I just need to get to it!

I'm moving my sewing room from our spare upstairs bedroom to the guest room in the basement to make room for our upcoming bundle of joy. I will be sad to loose the heart natural lighting in the old room, but I wouldn't want my kids to sleep on a different floor than daddy and myself. This move is beneficial because I will be forced to re-organize things and since my sewing room will share space with the guest bed I will have to keep things more organized in the future  I thought you all might enjoy a few before and after photos....the move isn't finished, I still have a closet to move/organize and photos/art to hang, but here is the work in progress.

The original room (with move under way)

this was a nice central location - I could hear the kids in the living room (on the main floor down and to the right on this pic), the bedrooms (to the left) and the banisters were a great place to hang my quilts!

The new room...fortunately it is larger than the other room so it can serve dual purposes as a sewing room and guest room.

Here's where it started...the design wall is laying against its future position

The bed is in the corner where it will take up the least room.

After most things have been moved/placed

And the sign hanging on my new door :P

Fortunately the window well does let in good light...but the view is lacking

Jen, as someone whose sewing room doubles as a guest room, I can let you know that the guest bed will soon be about two foot deep in phd's, pigs, wip's and ufo's, plus the latest acquisitions that haven't yet been put away :P B)

Wendy - I love that my sewing room is considered part of my nesting! When my husband first heard the term 5 years ago he threatened to take my fabric stash and make a real "nest" for me by ripping everything up and throwing it in a pile for me. I told him he'd die a slow a painful death if he even thought of touching my fabric! In reality I have to move everything to finish the nursery...I've put it off this long, but I'm quickly running out of time! Next weekend family is coming to help move big brother's bed/dresser/stuff into the old sewing room, and assemble the crib and everything in his old room (right across the hall from us and easier to access in the middle of the night). I get to sit back and "supervise" :P

Rosemary - I have no doubt the bed will be covered, but since we have a family member/guest every 1-2 months on average I'm hoping I can be good. I've got shelves in the closet for all of those PIGS, and UFOs. It's the WIPs and PHDs that typically get me in trouble! I like to spread out when sewing and I always have more than 1 project at a time (my artistic side has more than a touch of ADHD)
