    Virtual Retreat 2016

My comments are probably not going to make sense now because I am SO far behind but
Congratulations to Dawn and Renata and Rosemary!
Thanks for all the mini quilt shows that ladies have posted from shows they've attended.
Lotti your pictures were breathtaking as usual.
And hello to everyone else that I read about and fell out of my memory by the time I caught up on hundreds of posts!

Welcome to a retreat that we all can attend. Come often, comment when the mood strikes, and enjoy your time with us. This is a place to share, just like at the physical retreats. Encouragement is a form of creativity, so let it flow! If you aren't in the midst of something you want to talk about, that's ok too. Just hang out with a bunch of caring and sharing people.

    Enough of my banter,
Let's go create another year of retreat friendliness.

PS: Who's bringing chocolates this year? Anybody got a big bag of red Swedish fish to share?

      Happy New Year everyone!

So nice to see Thomas, what a cutie! And Alfie is home! It's a perfect New Year's day.

Marilyn, it is nice to see you back. Hope things will be good for you and yours in 2016.

Well, it's onto cataloguing 2015 quilting accomplishments and starting on 2016. What an adventure this hobby is!

      Take care, geneva

Yes Happy New Year and Happy New Thread. I wonder what we'll be recording this year.

Right my first show and tell this year is.....Baby Bunting

I've made a quilt/playmat and a pram quilt but didn't take pics before it was given away so I will eventually take pics of them.

Arghh chocolates are off. I'm trying to lose weight .............again. Been referred for surgery on knee and want to get back to playing badminton so the weight has to come off so I don't keep injuring it! I'm going to head over to the healthy threads for tips which I ignored last year. Anyway I am no longer obese, I am overweight according to the NHS. Yippee and I only started on 26th Dec.

            Wendy,
This is my time to reduce also. I read recently that when we give ourselves a whole year to take off X number of pounds, we usually start strong then fizzle until Sept or so, then we get all in a tither about it. Her suggestion was to chose a reasonable amount for a twelve week stint of focus. Then you give yourself a week to relax, just a bit, before your next 12 week go. She suggested writing something down for every day of your 12 weeks that will have a positive impact on your goal. I've written down my first 12 weeks in my planner. I'll keep you posted on how it's working for me.
Best to everyone trying to do this sort of thing.

Good luck yes I'm doing it in bites. Short term goals are easier to achieve.

Happy New Year everybody! I wish you all good health and happiness!

I'm still struggling with the re-vamped forum and site. It seems to take longer to do things, and having very little spare time, I often don't even try. But I'm alive and kicking, and very busy.

Norma, I'll be at FoQ again this year.

Super! I can see another group photo coming up. B)

I'm still involved with the Traditional Group of the Guild and this year also with one of the showcases, so I'll be there all four days.
