I think needle turn would work great. Such a wonderful skill to have in your toolbox. HelenW

Is it necessary to use the interfacing if you are just using cotton fabric?

If you're talking about the strip piecing, no, I don't think the interfacing is necessary. It does make the blocks nice and stable, though. In the olden days, they used newspaper for this. There's no reason you couldn't just sew strips together with no backing, but the backing keeps you oriented as you work.

I just realized that my Print and Piece Fuse lite does not adhere. It must be one of the ones Alex talked about. What can I use instead so I don’t have to wait to get a new package?
