Finished! A tribute to my 98 year old mom using the memories of my children from our annual trips to visit my parents on Cape Cod. The hat is an upside down sand bucket (something she would never do, but a fun starting point for the quilt). Lots of hidden treasures, but the heart is for her new great grandbaby. That joy has added months to her life. Thank you, Alex. Lots of new ideas!

This is all done except for the binding. It was great fun. Thank you, Alex. I have spent my entire career working with numbers thus the digits in my “head”.

I am not a Crazy Cat Lady but I do have three Crazy Cat Grandchildren!

Easy to be green! Finally ready to quilt. In my world, too much is not enough! Edit? Maybe that works for some people. My first reaction to using the blanket stitch was,"No way!" But I did it and now I'm a fan. Such fun!

Searching my stash I found steam punk seamstress fabric that I had forgotten about. Makes good gray hair.

I'm a bit behind the group, so here is the face I've come up with so far. I've included some of the things I love and that are important to me, I plan to quilt in the names of my two daughters (next to the #2), and my three grandchildren (next to the #3). This has been a fun project and I may try my hand at another; maybe something wild and wacky. Who knows!

Yay!! She's done. This is such a fun group, very inspiring. I quilted "XO" to everyone and especially Alex.
I think I need to catch up, more to go on baskets and Kaffe quilt, too.

If you have followed the steps, check the size of your photo—if more than 5 mb it is too large. Resize smaller and try again.

The steps have been posted many times—use the Search box above to find them.
