What fun to be able to get up close and personal with the floral and paisley fabrics in my stash!
FLOWER LADY will become a conversation pillow in our living room. When family and friends can visit again, I will tell them about my friend Alex, who shared her heart and many hours brightening our COVID days. THANK YOU, ALEX!

I still have some fun silly things to add. And cats The basics are done. I went semi-realistic. I wanted it to resemble me.

Alex said she was going to teach his blanket stitch, I believe. I don’t see anybody stitching their pieces down. Are you guys planning to do that? I think you could probably just leave it as is if you’re going to frame it, but you can’t probably wash it and not have it fray? Or even have pieces come loose?
Here is mine again and I have blankets stitched all the edges. I couldn’t wait to do that part! It was a challenge.

I had fun going through my stash of novelty fabric finding my favorite things. I could have kept going, but didn't want to make this too busy.

This reminds me of playing with paper dolls and color forms, but way more fun! What’s important to me? Family. Represented by the sapphire earrings (September wedding anniversary), my and my husband’s February birthdays (amethyst), our oldest daughter (April - diamond) her partner (May - emerald), our youngest daughter (January - garnet ), her husband (July - ruby and the “grands” (July - ruby, June - pearl) and September - sapphire). I planned on making clothes, but I couldn’t decide what to wear!
