Both of my New Album blocks were tweaked. The one closest to the original block is on the left. The block on the right is New Album modified and using complimentary colors. In the real world the block on the right probably has a defferent name. But the result is where my heart and and fabric took me.

It is a bacon press! I found it at my regional grocery store on the aisle with the cookware. You may still be able to buy them at a Cracker "Barrel restaurant if you have one close by. Mine is by Lodge Cast Iron company. It is 4 1/2" X 6 3/4" and weighs almost 3 lbs. It is working really well with these 6 1/2" blocks.

I made my block # 3 “Flock” with white as the calming color. I wasn’t crazy about it, so I tried it with black instead. I wonder if I’d be happier with all my blocks using black instead. Anyone try this? Thoughts?

Have a question about the 80 wt poly thread. I’m using it for the first time and love how long the bobbin last! But then I wondered if I need to be careful while pressing/setting seams? Will it shrink or melt if hit with my iron that’s on cotton heat setting?
