Nice— I like how you used the white as the ring.

I am using Kaffe fabrics in my blocks. I also put my own spin on the single wedding ring block.

I cut my cornerstones correctly, cut the squares for the corners at 2" instead of 1-7/8 and when I went to trim the finished square to 2-1/2, I didn't have 1/4 inch at the points. So I sewed it on and when the block was finished it was 1/4 " to large - 6-3/4 inches and could not trim to 6-1/2 inches. I ripped out the top and bottom rows and will start over tomorrow. I measured everything as I was going, don't understand what is going on. I may sketch it out and paperpiece it if I can't get it to work.

Bonnie Hunter’s website has a chart which shows that for a finished 2” square in a square unit, the inside square should be cut at 1 7/8”. My square in a square book by Jodi Barrows says 2”. My scrappy block, has small puckers and is slightly bigger than 6 1/2”. I cut the square from the hand dyes ar 1 7/8 and the block is pretty good ( getting those points and the seam to match is challenging)!
