Learn How to Make Pieced Antique Linen Quilts with Cindy Needham

(Show 2804) Cindy Needham is back to talk about using antique linens as “yardage”. Rather than keeping the linens whole, she now creates what she calls Pieced Linen Quilts. Learn where she finds her vintage linens and how she decides which part of the linens she will use in her designs. Cindy also shows Alex how to create a “little girl”, a framed piece of linen highlighted by stunning quilting and embellishment.

I just received over 200 handkerchiefs that my grandmother had crocheted designs and on the edges. Cindy’s little girls are the perfect way to make these into something special for generations to come! Thank you!

Loved Cindy's teaching on saving antique linens and fabrics. She has created such a special art. I hope I can do the same

What is a "speaking jacket"? I searched online but couldn't find a definition.

I'm not liking this new website. Trying to watch show, chose Cynda Needam show, see the arrow, hit arrow but freezes up and nothing happens. Watching (or trying to watch) on iPad. What is my problem?

Love, love, loved this show. I'm totally inspired to start my own collection of linens also and I've learnt heaps!!! I have loved your work for so long. I've followed you also on Face Book and sent some messages of support and regarding your work. I wish there was a shop/Quilter who followed you also "down under" that has your tools. Because I love your ripper tool and leather sticky protectors for your fingers. I've use the plain ones but the leather sound even better too. I hope I can find them online.

Now lastly, I love it if you became more of a feature Educator for the Quilt Show!!! Food for thought. Fantastic show and well worth watching again. Could listen to you talk any time and even better watching you work too!.
