Learn the Principles of Quilt Design, Create a Quilt Inspired by a Photo and a Glued Fabric Collage with Ellen Lindner

(Show 3007) Ellen Lindner is the Adventure Quilter, and she loves to teach traditional quilters who want to attempt the adventure of creating art quilts how to get started. Ellen begins the show by demonstrating for Ricky how she uses photos not to duplicate, but to inspire her quilts. Want to learn the principles of design? Ellen then talks to Alex about contrast, value, focal points, and much more when it comes to designing a quilt. In the final segment, Ellen shows Ricky how to make a sticky fingered (glued fabric) collage. A method for creating an art piece with no sew, batting, binding or backing makes for a fun small project.

This is one of the best shows you've ever done!

Kinda embarrassing. I didn't really praise myself. I let a friend use my login so she could see the episode and when she commented it looked like I had done so. Thanks Jo-Ann!
