(Show 3406) Cathy Perlmutter’s non-fussy quilts are a joyful blend of colorful artsy improv, topped with a bit of quirky humor. Early dreams of being an art major were shattered when she realized she simply didn’t have the talent it took to become an art major, being a journalism major was the better choice. An unexpected stop while on vacation in 1991 exposed her to the world of quilting and the artist within knew she had found her place. Thirty years later, she says she still can’t sew a straight line, but loves designing fun and non-fussy quilts. Learn how to build your own colorful cityscape out of fabric, foundation piece improv Log Cabin triangles, and stitch Kippah gifts for your friends and family.
