Christa Watson has twice been a guest of The Quilt Show, and in her first appearance with us she began sewing together improv scraps of color during one of the segments. After many years the fruits of her labor have paid off as the quilt that was created from those scraps, Colorful Chaos, has been juried into the Modern category at the AQS Paducah quilt show. Click through to see the quilt.
From AQS: "Ready for a blast from the past? Here's Ricky Tims in 1997 at the AQS Quilt Show & Contest in Paducah, Kentucky, sharing his quilt Peace Like A River. He talks about his love of quilting and music."
Ricky Tims, who was a judge at AQS Quiltweek 2022 in Paducah, went out onto the floor to seek the opinion of quilters and find out how they feel about the use of "banned substances" in quilt competitions. The Quilt Show would like to thank all of the gracious participants for their time in taking part in this survey.
Debbie's lovely quilt, Ephemeral Elegance, won First Place for First Entry in an AQS Show/Small Wall Quilt category at Paducah 2011.
