How to Machine Applique and Do Big Stitch with Kim Diehl | Learn Color Theory with Christine Barnes

(Show 1407) Quilt and fabric designer, author, and highly sought-after teacher Kim Diehl loves to combine unexpected elements in her traditionally inspired quilts.  She brings many of these "hybrid" pieces along to share. Kim offers some of her best time-saving machine-appliqué techniques and demonstrates how combine ‘big stitch’ quilting with machine quilting to give your quilts added visual and textural interest. She also shows how to add a final pop of color to your finishing. We wrap with a field piece featuring quiltmaker, author, and teacher Christine Barnes who shares valuable insights into the properties of color, including value, temperature, and intensity.

I too use my scissors for paper but "never" let anyone in my family see me doing it or let them know that it is possible. Keep this a secret
