Who is Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill?

Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill is a designer who creates work that is both decorative and functional, blurring the divisions between art, design, and craft. She’s driven to challenge the conventional notion of what a quilt is and looks like while honoring and contributing to both the rich tradition and future of the craft.

With the help of books and the Internet, Sheri taught herself how to sew and discovered her love of designing and making quilts. As a trained and practicing graphic designer, her quilts start with a concept and research shapes the design. Sheri’s mission is to enhance people’s lives through beautiful, meaningful design as well as to empower and inspire others to enjoy the process of making.

In 2015, Sheri  founded Whole Circle Studio, her business that specializes in the design of custom modern quilts, quilting & stitching patterns, surface design illustration, and products.

Sheri’s quilts have gained international recognition, including awards from QuiltCon, International Quilt Festival, Quilt Week/Paducah, the Quilt Alliance, and the Modern Quilt Guild. Additionally, her work has been featured at art centers and galleries around the country. She self-publishes and distributes her quilt & other stitching patterns, which can be found through her website as well as at quilt shops worldwide. Sheri also enjoys giving presentations and teaching internationally. Sheri lives and works in the suburbs of New Haven, Connecticut with her husband, Jason, and her adorable yellow lab mix, Casey.
