What is Hover Mode?

Hover Mode is a feature on a sewing machine that will lift the foot of the sewing machine when you stop sewing. The foot will rise enough to allow you to turn or pivot your fabric to a new position. This can also be done with the knee lift.

Benefits of Hover Mode

Hover Mode is a feature on many sewing machines.  It frees the hands of the sewist to allow them to keep sewing, rather than move the needle up and down by manipulating a lever behind the machine.

Tools Needed for Hover Mode

The Hover Mode feature is not on every machine; many but not all. Be sure to check to see if it is a feature on a machine you are considering purchasing.

What I wished I knew about Hover Mode

I was such a big fan of the knee lift feature that I didn't think I would be interested in the Hover Mode feature.  However, I now use it even more than than the knee lift!
