Free Style Piecing

Free Style Piecing is a technique that breaks the rules of traditional piecing. Strips of fabric are sewn together at random angles then trimmed, yielding uneven sized pieces, without a concern for grain line. These pieces are then sewn to other units. Often free hand curves are cut and sewn with this technique. Quilt blocks maybe be similar to conventional blocks but with a wonky appearance. The results of free style piecing often have an abstract appearance.
