Where Would You Put It?

Alex recently started doing interviews on her Friday LIVEs. So where should we put them so people can find them?

There are several thoughts about the interviews. They are part of Alex LIVE. Some were made during the Birdhouse Quilt project (but future ones will not).

We have an artist interview area, but they are not connected to Alex LIVE. Here's what our thoughts were when deciding where to put Alex's LIVE interviews:

1. Key #1 - Nothing goes into WATCH but the Shows.

2. People are very tied to the concept of Alex LIVE.

3. Weeks from now, no one will remember what project Alex was on during the interview.

4. So, we put the interviews in LEARN > Alex Anderson's Classroom | Alex LIVE > Interview

Would you have been able to find it without us telling you? Would you have thought to use the Search box at the top?

Can you find this page?

I love the new website! You all did a great job and yes, I could easily find the live videos from Alex.
You do great things for us out there and I appreciate that a lot!
All the best from Germany!

Maybe I'm being blind, but I don't see Alex Live. I searched and got maybe one thing, but mostly Shows? Is Alex Classroom the same thing as Alex Live? How do I find Alex Classroom? Didn't have much better luck searching for that. Maybe I need...

Could the Categories at the bottom of each blog post (Quilts, Quilt Puzzles, Website...) be listed on the left as something to select? If I just want to look at the puzzles, it would be nice to be able to just select that somewhere.... rather than having to find a puzzle, and then click on the category.

Hi Betsy,

Click on LEARN in the navigation. Then scroll down the left column to CLASSROOMS. Under classrooms you will see Alex and Dee and more. Click the drop down symbol and you will see all of Alex's projects and then an Interview choice. Click on that to find the LIVE interviews. Or type "Interviews" in the search box and then click on the LEARN tab. Alex will be there.

The puzzles were easy to find before, just click on the word in a drop down box. Now if the word "puzzles" is put in search, none come up, just quilt shows like Alex's puzzle quilt are the search engine's answer. Would like the link put on a drop down so easy to find, because right now I have no idea where to find except to go to old shows which takes too long to find one I haven't done.

Hi Lin, When you use the Search box at the top it brings up tabs showing the other areas of the website (except the forum which has its own search). Try it again. Type in "puzzle" and then click on the blog tab. You should see some of the puzzles...

Hi Lin, When you use the Search box at the top it brings up tabs showing the other areas of the website (except the forum which has its own search). Try it again. Type in "puzzle" and then click on the blog tab. You should see some of the puzzles (we did not bring them all over). Then when you are on the blog, you can click on the Category puzzle or the Tag puzzle to see more. Try that and let me know if it works for you.

Or I can try to remember, sometime in the future, that I should go directly to the Blog tab but then I need type in Puzzle in the search box to get the selection. I love doing your puzzles and I'm enjoying that they are daily. If I've been away, I go back to work all that I've missed. When I'm awake at oh-dark-thirty I do your puzzles. Like Lin says above, it was easier on the previous web page. I hope you are going to keep the full library on the new page so we can go back to them when we feel like having a mindless-moment. Thank you

That makes sense to me - I'm having a great time navigating the new website, even with the few glitches (which are being fixed!!) and I regularly use the search box when I am stymied and it always comes through!

No searching done here, just went to the classroom and found them with no problem. Just seemed logical they would be in there some place.

That's a logical place to put them. And yes, in fact, I did find them there a few days ago without too much trouble. I didn't use the search tool. I looked for Alex's Lives.
