The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Donald the Dotted Dragon" by Sue Bleiweiss
Do a puzzle of Sue Bleiweiss's quilt, Donald the Dotted Dragon.
Donald the Dotted Dragon, like most of Sue's other quilts, utilizes her hand-dyed fabrics. Every fabric color you see in the quilt is hand-dyed, including the blacks. For this quilt, Sue wanted to do something more whimsical, having previously focused on cityscapes, buildings, and geometric shapes. What differentiates this quilt from her others, besides the fact that there is a dragon, was Sue having a primary focal subject to work with, which provided new challenges for her.
