Who is Jean Ann Wright?
Jean Ann Wright has been sewing and making quilts for over 50 years. She majored in textiles and fine arts at Palm Beach State College and has combined these two disciplines to become a fiber artist. From 1986 to 2007 she edited an international quilting magazine titled QUILT, plus a variety of special interest quilting titles with the same publishing company. After retiring she redesigned and edited The Quilting Quarterly publication for the National Quilting Association, leaving that position to concentrate on writing books. Her inaugeral book was co-authored with her sister, Janet Houts and its popularity has resulted in a reprint. Jean Ann works as a consultant to the fabric industry designing quilts for several major fabric manufacturers. This past year Jean Ann has designed two fabric collections for Newcastle Fabrics and a Log Cabin Trim Tool that is being manufactured by Creative Grids.
