Crystals
Crystals are added to quilts as an embellishment. They reflect the light which gives the quilt a twinkling, sparkle effect. They can be added as an occasional accent or a major feature and come in a wide variety of sizes and colors. Crystals are added to the quilt after it is quilted. In the past, crystals were glued down with permanent fabric glue, updates to this technique include adhesive backed crystals that are applied with a hot fix tool.

What I Wish I Knew When I Started using Crystals
When working with CRYSTALS, keep a bowl of ice water available when using a hot fix tool! Also, only poor enough crystals out of the tube, for what you need...trust me, picking them up and putting them away can be tedious. Consider using a small tray or wide piece of masking tape rolled back on itself to "contain" the crystals while being applied.
