Who is Gina Perkes?
I’m a mother of three amazing,(growing up too fast), children and one precious lil’ frenchie “Belle”. My two teenage boys live at home with me in Payson, Arizona. They make my world beautiful, funny, challenging, and sometimes “stinky”…(imagine soccer socks under the couch). My daughter is studying math and special education at Arizona State University. Though she’s 70 miles away, the umbilical cord is still attached (thankfully God makes them extra stretchy:)) ,we have plenty of lunch dates, shopping indulgences, and nail appointments.
I am a lover of all things creative. I have an innate need to beautify things. I feel completely blessed to have been born as an “Artoholic”. My life is filled with: color, fun, ideas, texture, challenges, bling, threads, glitter, sugar, flour, and sometimes chaos. Though I enjoy all sorts of creative outlets and mediums: gardening, mosaic, oil painting, etc…my three favorites are QUILTING and culinary. These are the two passions which I rely on to support myself and my three children.
I travel all over this beautiful country and internationally sharing my techniques with others and appearing on a multitude of shows to promote that art of quilt making. You can see me on The Quilt Show, iquilt, and The Quilting School. I have authored four books and design patterns with many new projects in the works.
