Who is Carol Moellers?
Hello, my name is Carol Moellers and I have been a member of The Quilt Show since the very beginning! I have been making quilts for over 40 years, and a pattern designer for the past 10 years. I have been an Island Batik Ambassador & PatternDesigner since 2019, and was an Island Batik Signature Designer in 2021 and 2022. Collections include: Woodblock Bouquets, Victorian, and Prairie Dreams. I have also been an Island Batik Original Fabric Designer since 2023 - Collections Include: Country Charm and Dots & Doodles. I currently have collections in the works for Island Batik for 2024, 2025, and 2026. In addition to Island Batik, I am a Suite B Digital Fabric Designer with Mid-Century Modern and Joyful Collections.
I have won multiple awards at AQS, IQF Houston, Road to California, and the MN and IA State Guild sponsored quilt shows. I am a published author for a variety of quilting publications: McCalls Quilting, Quilter’s Newsletter, Quiltmaker, Sew Iowa, and the AQS Quilt Engagement Calendar. In addition, I am a National and International guild and shop instructor.
I attended Iowa State University and worked 20+ years in the IT field as a programmer and ultimately an IT Project Manager. For the past 15 years, I have worked with my Veterinarian Husband - John, in our 2 vetinary clinics as the Business Manager.
Aside from quilting and designing, I enjoy restoring old things and bringing them back to life; like sewing machines, cars, tractors and antique furniture!
