Block Printing is a method of hand printing on textiles with inks. A design is carved into wood or other materials such as lino. Ink is rolled onto the raised area of the carved block and pressed onto fabric. Block printing is also known as Stamping.

What I Wish I Knew When I Started Block Printing

You can find vintage wood blocks for BLOCK PRINTING at antiques shows and stores as well as at some quilt shows if you don't want to create your own.
