The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Warsaw 1997" by Rayna Gillman
Do a puzzle of Rayna Gillman's quilt, Warsaw 1997.
Warsaw 1997 is one of Rayna's Poland quilts. The quilt depicts the cinderblock buildings standing over where the Warsaw ghetto once stood. Rayna's mother remembered visiting Warsaw with her grandparents in her youth and having fond memories of the experience. When her mother turned eighty, she wanted to go back and see if what she remembered from back then was still there, and in turn, saw what was depicted in this quilt.
