The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Pati's Paintbox" by Pati Fried
Do a puzzle of Pati Fried's quilt, Pati's Paintbox.
Pati's Paintbox was a quilt that Pati made during the pandemic where her intention was purely just to play with color. She would use two pieces, a long and a short rectangle, and sew them to each other based on if she liked two colors together. Pati would continue this process again and again, row by row, until she had her quilt. Having put her ruler away a long time ago, the quilt itself has a lot of movement in it. There is both hand and machine stitching with different colored thread that plays off of each fabric choice to both compliment and contrast each decision.
