The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Dawn Prayers on the Ganges" by Meri Henriques Vahl
Do a puzzle of Meri Henriques Vahl's quilt, Dawn Prayers on the Ganges.
Dawn Prayers on the Ganges is made from a collection of images, or a montage of them, that Meri had to create a portrait of the Ganges in her mind. Meri was fascinated by the beautiful colors and the people she had seen in India, and the border is made with silks from there as well. Plus, if you look closely, Gandhi appears three times throughout the quilt. Can you spot him?
