Featured Quilt - I See the Moon and the Moon Sees Me

Once in a Blue Moon by Joy Palmer was featured in the Abstract Quilts category at Road to California 2023 and defies the expression that gives it its name in more ways than one as Joy lets us know. She says, "Earth has one moon. Mars has 2, Neptune has 14, Uranus has 27, and both Jupiter and Saturn both more than 50. Lots of opportunity to employ circles of all types."

In The Store - Sarah Fielke's Sandpaper Board

Makes It Easy to Trace Appliqué Shapes

Use the Sandpaper Board to trace around templates for appliqué. The surface is covered with an extra-fine sandpaper that grips your fabric as you trace, write, and draw on it, keeping it from sliding around and ensuring that your shapes do not become distorted from slippage.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: A Quilt With A Burning Desire

"Char #4" by MJ Kinman

Char #4 is part of MJ's Bourbon Diamond series of quilts and pays tribute to Brown-Forman's Old Forester Bourbon. Brown-Forman is known for making its own barrels, while other companies do not. Since you can't have good bourbon without fire, Brown-Forman takes new oak barrels and shoots fire inside of them to toast and char them which gives the bourbon its flavor, color, and special bourbon properties. MJ really wanted to make a quilt that paid tribute to that fire, and since there are four levels of char, Char #4 was then its name

Charcoal grills are the classic grilling tool and are great for creating smoky, barbecued flavors. To apply your BBQ sauce to a charcoal grill, start by lighting the charcoal. Once the charcoal is hot, spread it out evenly around the bottom of your grill. Then, brush on your BBQ sauce evenly to the surface of your food. To control the heat, move the charcoal around the grill. https://onlybbqgrills.com/best-4-burner-gas-grill/
