OMG!!! I never thought about this !!! Im severely allergic to petrolatum and petroleum products also latex. Can you imagine yrds of petroleum thread on me in a quilt ?? It made me look at my clothes too .I must use cotton pure also I use silk...

OMG!!! I never thought about this !!! Im severely allergic to petrolatum and petroleum products also latex. Can you imagine yrds of petroleum thread on me in a quilt ?? It made me look at my clothes too .I must use cotton pure also I use silk for epp have been quilting since 1984 and I used Coats and Clarks , those threads fell apart..I use whatever Jinny Beyer uses , she paced I use 50 wt for machine, 28 wt for hand piecing and 80 silk for epp my hexies. The 80 wt silk does drive me nuts ..Thank you Becky.

Great to see some big stitch quilting on TQS! It's all I do these days, I enjoy being able to see the stitching, and the quilting becomes almost an embellishment. Great show.

Fantastic show. Loved every minute. And yes, as Becky wondered, the amount of twist would effect the size and flexibilty of a thread. (One of the important factors of hand spinning yarns.).
