Her perspective on the world shifted after serving in the Peace Corps, leading her to fall in love with an urban city she called home for over twenty years. As a curious and resourceful artist, Lorraine primarily uses solid cottons, upcycled clothing, and thrift store finds in her quilts, occasionally sourcing from her husband's closet. She views quilts as a canvas for expression, often incorporating thought-provoking text to highlight topics she finds important.
