Round Blocks and Modular Possibilities with Diana S. Fox | Environmental Embroidery with Susan Dillon

(Show 3402) Textile artist and teacher Diana S. Fox’s nature-inspired art quilts pull you in while reminding us that we are connected to the world around us. Learn how a group prompt about the wisdom of trees led her down the path to working with circular "tree rings" blocks. She shares a fun way to make your own tree ring blocks and how to bring life to a flat sunflower petal by curving it into shape using heat-activated interfacing. Then, fiber and mixed media artist Susan Dillon shows you how to take your French knot embroidery to a whole new three-dimensional level.

really interesting art works! I would like it better to hear local quilt shops recommended instead of big box stores and amazon.

I was lucky enough to visit my son in Denver in November and visit the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum...one of my favorite places to go while in CO. Diana Fox had a solo exhibit in their Northeast Gallery and I was awe struck with her work! How surprised and happy I was to watch today's show and get to see how she evolved into the artist she is as well as get mini lessons in how she creates such fabulous work! Thank you to The Quilt Show and Diana!!
