Welcome to the 2024 Houston International Quilt Festival - Celebrating 50 Years

The 50th Anniversary of the Houston International Quilt Festival actually begins tomorrow, October 31, 2024, but some will get to experience all the grandeur tonight as preview night takes place. What will you see when you enter the doors of the convention center? It truly is a sight to behold, and when the TQS crew visited the show early last week they got a glimpse of what would greet every quilter as they walked though those doors. What did they see? Take a look for yourself, and get some other sneak peeks of the convention floor.

An amazing display of red, white, and blue floating quilts ceremoniously titled 50 Years of Great Quilts is the first thing you'll see as your walk through the doors of the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas for the 50th anniversary of the Houston International Quilt Festival. Below you'll see just a small sampling of the hundreds of quilts featured within the convention center along with so much more. So if you are in the Houston area this weekend, make the trek to the show as it will certainly be something that you will never forget.

The 2024 Houston International Quilt Festival takes place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas from October 31, 2024 through November 3, 2024, with Preview Night occurring on October 30, 2024.

Is there a typo in the description of the 50 years of quilts? Shouldn’t it be “display of red, white, and blue quilts” not “or red, white, and blue quilts?”
