Presented by the SAQA, "In 2014, Maria Shell was an artist-in-residence at the McColl Center for Art + Innovation in Charlotte, North Carolina. There, she worked weekly with a formerly chronically homeless community now living in Moore Place. She developed a relationship with the Moore Place residents by teaching them basic sewing skills."
